What is the difference between SomEsse Method and the three techniques?
Every healing modality brings along its own philosophy on the cause of illness and the
path to healing. The SomEsse Method is a single unifying concept to understand and
explain techniques such as SomEsse Process, Quantum-Touch, Bach Flower Essences and how
they work to bring about healing. You can also apply the principle to any other healing
modality. The practitioner who simply holds this wisdom can powerfully affect the healing process and the
effectiveness of the technique.

How do I know which technique is best for my situation?
Sometimes a client comes to me after having read or heard about one of
the techniques I use and ask for that specific modality. There is a
reason why they resonate with a certain technique and my first response
is to respect and empower that. However, during the consultation, if
another technique can help the client to move more quickly through the
issue and it is appropriate and timely for them, I will recommend this.
Most of the time, my clients allow me to guide them, in which case I
will use whatever technique is most appropriate for a particular
session, always with the intention for them to heal as quickly as they
can and in the most gentle and compassionate manner. The client,
however, always has the final decision. |
Do I decide on the length of session for myself?
Sessions are either half an hour or full sessions lasting 45 minutes to an hour.
Session length is based on a number of factors including age, whether it is a first
consultation or a follow-up, and the technique(s) used. SomEsse Process, which requires
focused awareness and attention, is not available in shorter sessions or suited to those
less aware or unable to articulate their problems, e.g. children, elderly, or adults who
are not interested in internal work. The first Bach consultation requires a full session
to gather enough information to start work. Thereafter, it is usually only necessary to
reorder bottles of personal formulas or to re-assess periodically in a shorter session.
I usually allow the client to decide on how long they want their Quantum-Touch session.
The amount of work done is directly related to the time spent. The client's finances
also factor in at times.

How long does a person have to be in therapy?
You can start where you want, finish when you like. There is no program guaranteed to
heal you completely in a set number of sessions for the simple reason that each person
defines his or her own meaning and goal for healing. In general, a client eventually
reaches a threshold of stability. When this happens, it is important to acknowledge it.
If this is what you have come to accomplish, then it is time to wean yourself off
therapy. From thereon, you can space your sessions further apart or use them on an
as-needed basis. The other option is to develop new longer-term goals and carry on
working.
|
Are phone consultations effective?
Yes, they are effective and an excellent way to bypass obstacles that
can prevent the client from seeking help, such as physical distance,
time, or when someone is house-bound due to an illness. Over the phone,
the voice carries useful information that can be used in addition to
the verbal information given. This is available mainly for Bach
consultations and coaching/counseling sessions. |
What should I expect after taking Bach Flower Essences?
Retrospective Effect: Generally the positive effects of the essences
are so subtle as to go unnoticed by the client. Changes are more often
recognized upon retrospection and more readily by the people around the
individual.
Peeling Effect:
As one or more emotional difficulty is resolved, other underlying
emotions can emerge, indicating the need for new essences. The effect
can be either dramatic or subtle.
Cleansing Effect: Some individuals have reported emotional or
physical reactions as deep-seated imbalances are released. Note: these
are not side effects! They are caused by the negative energy that is being
released. You can continue with the essences to complete the release, reduce
dosage to reduce effects, or simply discontinue. Contact your Bach Practitioner
for advice if unsure.
|
Do I have to get my essences from you all the time?
No. My goal is to help the client stabilize and then identify with them the
core sensitivities that make them susceptible to certain imbalances and their
expressions. At this juncture, I would let the client know and teach them how
to make their own formula. There are also plenty of resources available -
books, pamphlets and websites - that can give the same information. This,
however, does not mean that you will never need to change formula again. There
is a peeling effect that occurs with the use of the essences, and after some
time - weeks, months or years - a new set of layers may surface that requires deeper
work. The decision to continue working with the practitioner remains with the
client.

What should I do with accidental contamination?
It is best to avoid touching the glass dropper tip to your tongue, teeth,
lips or any other surfaces so that you do not contaminate the solution.
If you do so, flush under hot running water before returning to bottle.
The caution against contaminating the solution is just that. It does not
mean you have to throw away the bottle if you did any of the above.
Contamination is rare in my experience. You will know the solution is
contaminated if it starts to taste funny or you can see growths in it.
If this happens, discard the solution. The potency of the essences is
not affected by contamination but you would not want to take in bad water.
Otherwise, just continue dosing until you finish the formula.

How much support can I expect after a session?
I am always interested to know how my clients are doing and welcome their
input and feedback. Therefore you are invited to send an email or give me
a call to do this. The SomEsse concept is unique in its novelty, and the
only way to establish it is through compiling case histories. Testimonials,
verbal or written, are gladly welcomed.
When you are using Bach Essences, there may be other reasons why you need to call:
Queries: This would be forgetting dosage instructions; not knowing what
to do if the child does not want to take the essences, if you notice growths in
the solution, how to deal with cleansing effects which can range from rash,
diarrhea, headaches to unsettling emotions. There is no charge for this.
Refill Essences: If you find that the formula is working well, I usually
recommend at least another bottle of the same to stabilize the effects. There is
no change made to the formula. There is a charge for essences sent to you.
Review Session: This involves a review, reassessment and/or
reformulation of essences. There is a charge for the consultation and the
essences. The minimum time for a session is half an hour.
